2.) The types of challenges that I will discover will probably just be narrowing down what type of research I want to do and finding my niche because there are so many different areas of research.

    1. i also interviewedmy advisor an was told the exact same thing as alexandria because we have the same advisor and i am also a biology major. He additionally informed me that biology is not only about wanting to go into the medical field and that research is always a great alternative.

  3. 1. I'm not sure as of yet who I am going to interview, but I think I will interview Dr. Hill. I am thinking about interviewing her, because she graduated from Spelman College (one of the schools of my choice) and she has mentioned in class about her hardships in college, but the strategies she used to overcome them. Her class was very inspirational to me and I would like to know what made her choose her major and how did she perform in college. She is also very kind and easy to talk to.
    2. I vaguely remember her saying something about how she had to develop better writing skills. I also think she may say how she had to get used to attending an all-girl school.

#1)I would like to interview Dr.Mell (my last semester Expository Writing professor and my current Argument and Research professor), because she comes from a background of stuggle, but has been triumphant in all that she has put her mind on. She can add emphasis on the advice that she has already graced me with about life, success, knowledge, writing and enjoying life. She's an exceptional mentor!

#2)The challenges I know that I will run into during my interview with Dr. Mell is our strong values and knowledge that we are both unwilling to compromise. We are both learners, but also teachers, and are unwilling to capitulate to each others opinions.
