The qualities and experience that you can apply to the job you desire are the most important things that I believe an employer will consider.
#2)This is not the first time that I have created a resume, but I always add new things I am involved with, so I constantly go through the process of revising and creating a new resume. The most challenging part in trying to create a resume and a coverletter is remebering everything youre involved in, and trying to make sure youre selling yourself, as if you were a product.

The good thing about creating a resume once is that all you have to do thereafter is go in and add additional work, skills, or educational background you have obtained. For me the most difficult part was being able to fit all of my work experience and volunteer work onto a page or two.

The most important piece of information that I think should be included in a resume and cover letter are the objectives, achievements accomplished, specialized skills, and experiences. The cover letter should mainly introduce your objective.

Yes, this was the first time I wrote a cover letter and resume. One of the most difficult parts of creating this effective resume was with me trying to remember all of the activities that I am involved in. It was difficult for me to gather the information needed.

This is not my first time writing a resume so all I had to do was use one of the examples in my DU book to make a few corrections and updates to my resume. However, this was my first time doing a cover sheet. The most difficult part of putting my cover sheet together was finding a way to talk about myself without making the cover letter a bore to read.

I had the same problem when writing my resume. I have not had a job so I feel bad that I don't have any work experience on my resume. To make up for it I include volunteer experience that I have had. When writing your cover letter, it can be generic so just make it a general cover letter.

I disagree with your belief that the cover letter should mainly introduce your objective. A cover letter that only introduces your objective will be too short and not provide enough information. Your cover letter should give you qualities and the benefits that you can bring to the company. It should also be creative and interesting to read.

Its important to "sale" yourself but remember who you are and where you wanna go. Dont be somebody you not. Also resumes shuld not be more than a page long. Anything longer than a page is TOO much to read too much to write and just unneccsary so dont worry bout puttin highschool stuff on their unless its just really vital for the position you tryna pursue.
This was not my first resume. Alot of different internships and programs require resumes and cover letters so science majors especially get alot of practice at writing resumes.

In the cover letter I believe the most important part is the correct spelling and the technical aspects that differentiate a letter from a business letter. As an assistant to an employer if I notice that things are not done correctly I will instantly throw it away and will not put it through for processing.

I tend to leave capabilities and talents to the end because the work is often highlighted throughout the resume. And I do not wish to waist the employers time by being redundant.

No, I have written plenty of resumes and cover letters. The most difficult part of creating an effective resume that best outlines my capabilities and talents is the wording. I try and express all my activities in short precise wording without having a full paper.

In this section, you should be able to persuade the employer by separating yourself for the rest. The employer will not only be viewing your resume but many more resumes of other candidates. You oculd include why you think you're the best candidate and share your passion for the job or why you feel you can be chosen.

I have written a couple of cover letters before this assignment. The most difficult part of writing a cover letter is making sure you are original and straight to the point. No employer wants to see the same thing over and over, and no employer wants to know your life story.
I thiknk the most important thing to list is your past experience and transferable qualities. Employers want to know you are caplable of doing the work.

My first rewume was for my modeling career that I was pursuing which is different from one in the business world I then again had to write another one for my computer class which was quite a struggle because I didnt know what to write about since everything I did had to do with dance or acting and modeling and I was trying to be business swavy.
